PG-13 Stories

Reverie

Summary: Kathryn Janeway's thoughts after they have succesfully crossed the void. She still feels the pangs of loneliness.

Just Kathryn (companion to "Someday, Kathryn")

Summary: Companion piece to "Someday, Kathryn", this time it is Kathryn who reflects on the person she has become and her difficulty in separating the person from the captain how her behaviour affects especially her first officer.

Someday, Kathryn

Summary: Mid-Fifth Season. Chakotay reflects on the person Kathryn Janeway has become of late, and how she alienates herself from her crew and him. Written in poetic prose.

Indiana Moon

Summary: Kathryn and Chakotay share some very tender moments before all hell breaks loose when they are under attack by the Krenim.
NOTE: This story is not an episode addition, but it is a "what if" scenario. What I have done, was take the "what if" premise and built it into fact for my story. To say anything more here, would be to create foreshadowing, and the reader filled with certain expectations that I do not wish to divulge at this point.

Primate

Summary: A little primate watches a woman goddess and a man warrior become friend-mates. A coda on the episode "Resolutions". Told from the primate's POV.

Return to Amara (sequel to "Primate")

Summary: Kathryn and Chakotay return years later to New Earth.

(A) Woman of Excellence

Summary: It's May 20, Kathryn's birthday. Chakotay reflects on the years of happiness he shared with Kathryn.

And if the while I think on thee

Summary: Chakotay muses on the direction his life has taken.

Breathing

Summary: Kathryn's thoughts on Chakotay while he's sleeping.

And feel the promise is not vain

Summary: A short coda on the episode Pathfinder. Chakotay observes Kathryn the evening of the day they had received news from Starfleet Command. From Chakotay's point of view. [G]

Fire Dance - An Equinox Story

Summary: Kathryn Janeway finds it increasingly difficult to live with herself after the Equinox was destroyed. She crossed the line, and has to live with the fact that for a while, she had become like the man she condemned. This story will examine Kathryn Janeway and her relationship with her crew, in particular her first officer.
The story has very philosophical overtones and, as my main reviewer said: very cerebral. For those really wanting to get into this story, please do read!

(The) quiet man

Summary: In a matter of weeks, Chakotay changes from a nice man to a not so nice man. Kathryn kisses the Michael the hologram and Chakotay kills Baby Jake. Who's angry? This is my own coda (of sorts, with due embellishments) on the episode: Fair Haven. Hey, there's stil hope for us J/Cer's! [PG-13]

But change the Earth or change the Sky

Summary: Chakotay writes Kathryn a letter. Do be ready with some Kleenix! It's high in sap content.

(The) Captain and her boyfriend (

Summary: Me? I was just getting my own back at Fair Haven... Janeway wants her man. Her man seems hesitant. Ronnie is in a mean mood. Keep going... This very, very short piece was inspired by some interesting discussions a friend and I had about Janeway and her hologram...

Getting rid of Kathryn

Summary: There is a mutiny on board Voyager. Chakotay gets rid of Kathryn.

Confessions of a Mask

Summary: Episode addition. Kathryn's mask speaks. It is a rather bleak tale of a woman not really willing to lower her mask. Set just after "Muse".

(The) Heart is a Lonely Hunter

Summary: The crew sees how Kathryn has become increasingly lonely despite her dependence on Michael, her holographic lover. Tom, who devised the programme of Fair Haven, faces a difficult decision. NOTE: Although this is mainly Kathryn and Michael, it focuses on P/T as well as some allusion to the imminent possibility of J/C. There's much hope for the XO. It's bring on the Kleenex again

Silver Spirit

Summary: When Voyager returns after seven years in the Delta Quadrant, things take an unexpected turn for Chakotay during the trials.

R-rated Stories

Breaking Point

Rating: Parts 1-12, 14: PG-13; Part 13: NC-17
Summary:Set somewhere mid-5th season. Kathryn Janeway has so far had to make so many decisions as Captain of Voyager, decisions which have invoked controversy and anger, and turned her into an implacable leader. It has made her lonely, alienating herself from her crew. Especially Chakotay. She leaves Voyager and seeks seclusion with a highly spiritual alien race. The crew, inspired by their First Officer, battle to get her back.

NC-17 Stories

Intermezzo

Summary: A coda written in response to the episode "Counterpoint". A month after they left Devore space, Janeway still ponders on that kiss, gradually shutting her First Officer out of her life. (Note: I'm living outside the US and have not seen the episode, but based it entirely on an indepth summary written by a friend of mine.)

(A) Timeless Trilogy

Summary: A Timeless Trilogy: Codas on the episode "Timeless"

  1. Always
Summary: Chakotay and Harry find the ice planet and Voyager after fifteen years. Chakotay remembers the last night he and Kathryn spent together. From Chakotay's POV.
  2. A Moment in Time
Summary: Kathryn Janeway remembers the last night she and Chakotay spent together before their fate quantum slipstream drive. Seen from Kathryn's POV.
  3. Love's not Time's Fool
Summary: Now that Chakotay and Harry have restored the past, what are the ramifications of the night Chakotay and Kathryn spent together, and promises made?

ChakoTell

Summary: In response to a JetC16 challenge, this short fluffy piece. The challenge: How about beaming my clothes back, Kathryn? And remember when Kathryn told Chakotay he could phaser an apple off her head? Well, two rolled into one! [NC-17] Very PWP and sensual.

Arachnia's Winding Stair

Summary: Those who read ChakoTell, will remember what Chakotay did with an apple and a cross-bow. Now, it's Kathryn's turn to lure Chakotay into her lair. Very, very NC-17! Definitely not for the faint-hearted.

Diary of a Madwoman

Summary: In this story, a "what if" scenario on the episode "Night" Janeway remains in the void and sends Voyager, led by Chakotay, through the spatial vortex. Traveling alone in the void becomes for her a journey which tests her endurance, and her sanity. NOTE: This story is a "What if" scenario on the episode "Night". I asked the question: "What if Kathryn got her way and remained in the void, as she suggested to Chakotay?" Well, here is that story...

(The) Dying Embers

Summary: In this, an episode coda to "Hunters", Janeway reflects after receiving Mark's letter.

What lies before us

Summary: Voyager is on its way to Earth, six years after it was stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Kathryn Janeway and Chakotay, friends and colleagues, want to put their recent traumas behind them, and so they contemplate parting ways. WARNING: Deep angst. This story contains references to sexual abuse. There are no graphic descriptions, but images nonetheless disturbing. I have attempted here not to sensationalise rape, but focused on the long term effects of rape and the victim's ability to survive. For most it is a difficult and long road, and each day that a victim can go forward, is an important victory. This story is dedicated to the survivors. [NC-17 only in the final section]

Afternoon of the bitter rain

Summary: Voyager has returned to the Alpha Quadrant after five years. After the welcoming ceremonies, Chakotay asks Kathryn again to marry him, but she rejects his offer. He leaves, never to be seen again. Will they ever find happiness? [PG-13 for parts 1 - 8, NC-17 for part 9] This story has very high sap content. Hanky alert!
